5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I swear I saw this today - I couldn't believe it, and couldn't find anyting like it online.
A Gen6 Blue Ribbon Camry. 4c, either CE or LE.
With a matching blue fabric roof. Not a soft top, as all the windows were the normal, and it was rigid - think old domestic grannymobile, not convertible.
It had a chrome trim lining the join between the trunk and the roof.
It was leaving route 495 in MA onto Route 2 West (I was joining from the East) around 9am - I'll keep an eye out for photos, but I drive this route daily, and have never seen it before.
WHY?!

i might know what your talking about, ive never seen it my self but i did on this forum. I think they are very popular down in florida. I dont know but they look hideous
They make kits for several cars with what you are thinking about. I've seen several Taurus's, Impala's, Caddy's, Lincoln's, etc with those types of roofs. I hate them, I have no idea why old people think they are appealing...
You're talking about something like this right, just in a different color?
They also put those fabric roofs on Buicks . My Dad has a Buick LeSabre Presidential which comes with the canvas top here is a pic of it behind my Camry SE.

ive seen this on several gen 4, 5 and 6 models around here....looks absolutly terrible...i typically see it on cadillacs, buicks lincolns and mercurys, but on anything else it just makes no sense to me....
