Thumbs up

hey guys sorry for the long wait but its time to tell u little more about the navigation i had bought and i put the pictures up in my previous posts.
Well here is the deal this ebay seller that sells the 8" LCD navigation's 411aberdeen do not purchase from him. The units is garbage according to what used for over 3 weeks. Ended up returning the unit through Paypal the seller does not respond to messages.

The reason i say the unit is garbage is because of many reasons
The LCD freezes meaning the blue screen does not change.
The ipod function does not work properly from the screen you can not even change tracks, changing albums and artist is a whole another story.
The bluetooth is horable people can not hear you the mike sucks.
The only thing that was possitive was the way it looked in the car and playing music videos was a nice feature.
The EQ did not have much of a choice.
The Navigation screen was off center, alot of information was cut off on the top and bottom of the screen.

Okay guys if you have more questions about the unit PM me of just ask me here

Jattgary,
I got the same unit as you. Same complaints too EQ limited, manual radio station storing not available, can't play music and Navi at the same time (I will try to hook up an overide switch so in one position it will act as if it is hook up to the brakes switch and on the other position it would be grounded to play video on the go)

Do you have contacts for the manufacturer? I want to contact them and see if they can do something about about the off center navi screen.

Andy

Did not try Ipod yet, probably during this week, but the sreen is so bigggg.

Also I have JBL premium sound. You NEED Metra or Scosche interface to turn on the amplifier and still it is not plug and play, but it is easy and you have to find wire which is go on with your lights to hoop up ilumination wire.
This unit has already 4 RCA outputs so no spliting for fader function is needed. Steering wheel controls works how they suppose to, no reversed buttons.
Gogo, how did you tweak the igo8 to make it work with the 8" screen? My 8" unit came with igo8. Can you give me some help?

In the main directory, there is a file "sys.txt". You have to edit the path under " Folders". It should look like this:
[folders]
app="SDMMC/iGO8"

I tought your navi doesn't work at all. You can play with the resolution numbers in the same file. I don't know how much cut off you have, but on my unit it is just little and doesn't bother me at all.

Thanks Gogo, you are the best! Your effort is much appreciated.

I contacted the seller too and he told me his boss is going to China right now trying to get a resolution for these problem...apparently they have had lots of complaints. They said that they probably will send me a new map customized to fit the screen. Whether or not it is Igo they did not say. I will post any resolution when they get back to me. Cheers, Andy

Hi everybody, I hope someone can help me:
Since december 2008 I use this 7" 2 Din Car DVD Player GPS for TOYOTA CAMRY (D718)

Now I have a problem with the unit. When I want to play a cd or dvd, the unit gives a message in the display that says: Disc Error. The cd or dvd doesn't play.
Am I the only one with this failure ?
Does someone know what I can do about this ?

I know I have garanty, and I can send the unit to the seller but that will chost me 100,- euro for shipping. So I'm looking for another way.

Thanks for your message. I tried an lens cleaner cd already. Now its a littel better. When I put in an dvd, sometimes I have to try 3 or 5 times and the dvd starts to play. ( If the dvd plays, its perfect.)
Another time the dvd is playing at once. Should this be an dirty lens ?
