Need to add bluetooth to camry - help needed

Hey fellas
I know there are many electronics buffs here, I need to add a SIMPLE solution to my camry for dad to use his cell phone in the car since we can no longer go without a hands free in the car. He cant use an ear piece, I need a device that is all in one and connects directly when he starts the car. I need one of these for the GX I have as well. Any suggestions....thanks

Probably overkill for you but it'll be pretty nice.

it all depends on how much you want to spend.

I purchased a motorola ihf-1000. It has a simple control. you can get these for around $200 with a toyota specific harness kit.

there are also the ones the guys above posted.

@west467,i can give you the pros and cons to the moto T505
pros:It is mobile, it can be put in any car and you are able to hear the person through a specific radio station
The controls are simple to use
If you have a phone that can play audio through bluetooth you can control it through this unit.( the audio is good if you have a strong signal.)

Your voice is clear on the other persons end

I will only let you know the major problems.
Cons: you have to change the fm transmitted station if it becomes interferred with.
This can be annoying because you may have to be switching stations if you travel to different areas that can cause a problem.
If the readio station is lost and it was at 88.9 it will tell you to change it up to the next best station but even then it may have interference and you will have to keep moving the station to where the unit tells you to put it.
your incoming conversation can be heard from few car lengths away if a person is scrolling through the radio.

Of couse, it all depends what you can live with but i hated loosing the station in the middle of the conversation.

COSTCO. $39.00. Actually Costco has several versions. It clips onto the visor. YOU will have to mate the phone to it for him. One button on....one button closes it. My ex wife (mother of my son) who is from the Jungles of Central America can figure it out, Im am prety sure anybody can. Good luck!

I researched high and low and ended up with Parrot. www.safewireless.com (best customer service I've ever seen). I'll post pictures tomorrow

that sounds like a BIG privacy concern... i wouldn't want my private calls being heard by others....

$26 but slow shipping.

I think this Mirror is better. Because with my Camry OEM bluetooth, this is where the mic is and it pick up pretty decent sound.
