Gen6 Reading lights?

I have an 08 SE. Is there anyway to get the rear reading lights to work as one with the front reading lights when you open the doors/unlock the doors? Anyone try this or attempt it. Any suggestions?

Seems like you could fish wire through the overhead and wire them into the front in parallel.

The rear reading lights should come on automatically when you open the rear doors.

I figured that would be only option to fishhook it through. Kind of weird they have it that way. I was looking for something on the rear floor and only had my front door open and was trying to see and couldn't see. Didn't want to open rear door just to get light open so I had to reach all the way back to open rear reading lights. Kind of weird they did it that way.

If nobody is back there, why have it on for? I agree with OEM design. Have it on only when the door at that location is open. There is a button to press to manually turn it on too.

I mean it does give you the option to have it on when you want/need it. But other than that it only come on when the door for that passenger is open for the passenger to see their way getting in/out.

I don't see y any1 would want to change this.
