Yeah, I actually knew that guy personally -- he didn't bitch about his damaged rims (of which only one was self inflicted -- he admitted that) he just wanted to know what the easiest and best way of fixing them would be of which none of those pages really helped. As for starting a "flame war" with you -- I gotta tell ya...you by no means "came out on top"...sitting behind your computer terminal like a whining pussy and typing back and forth to someone on a car internet chat board makes you feel proud about yourself? Anyway, to add to this thread, I know folks who have had their factory chrome rims dipped and I agree that it should be available from the factory as an option, not just if you want to step up to a Lexus or such; it really has nothing to do with these people "wanting Toyota to pay for a rusted or damaged rim." My dealer actually offered to chrome the stock 17's that come on the SE as they had a local place doing it.
