Smile Instrument Panel backlight

Hello,
I am the proud owner of a 2002 Camry LE 5-Speed. Everything is going great with this car. One thing I noticed when compared to newer cars (even other makes and models) is the backlight that lights up the instrument panel and climate controls is quite dim even. Does anyone know what I can do to make it a little brighter? It's already as bright as it can go. Perhaps put in a new lamp?
Thanks,
Dave

No, just leave it alone. My old '00 Corolla is dimmer compared to the '09.

the back lighting for the climate controls are incandescent bulbs... they are probably pretty old. replacing those bulbs will make the climate controls brighter. unfortunately for the instrument panel, the back lighting is LED. you will not be able to make it any brighter then it already is... at least not without a lot of effort and skill.

I agree. Fooling with that stuff is not worth it.

Thanks for the info. Perhaps if I have the time I may replace the climate control lamps.

I think only recently they come out with brighter LED.
