Would It Be Stupid?

Do you guys think it would be stupid to change my rear and front bumper cover to the look of the SE model. I have a 07 LE I4. And yea i wanted the SE model but my mom got the car as a surprise B-Day present.

The SE looks nice, but I am always in fear of wrecking the front kit on a curb. I would probably work on upgrading other parts of the LE instead of the bumper. Maybe wheels, rear spoiler, grill, and so forth.

yea it's gonna run me about $350 at the least. I wanted rims but man i'm finding it hard to match rims with my aloe green metallic color!

if you are looking to spend that much to change the bumpers, you can also consider some of the other lip kits around that are available like the SET kip or the RKsport kit.

and no, it's not stupid to change them out to SE bumpers (that is unless you pay a ridiculous amount for them)

Yeah I thought about doing that, making my 07 LE look more like an SE by getting the RKSport kit. It's pretty expensive to buy it and get it installed though, so I dont know if it's worth it. I want to keep it around $500-700 for kit + install if possible.

What did you plan on doing for $350 to make it like the SE?

Dont forget, you also have to go get it painted to match your car too. So thats more money right there.

Sounds like a budget from "Flip This House" where the flippers have no clue.........

You have to buy 2 pieces for the front and 3 pieces for the back and pay an amount equal to the parts price for proper painting.

It would look nice with the SE bumpers but why not go for the SET or RKSport kit? It's more money but you get a great look and it is a little different than a stock SE.

I like the the stock SE rear bumper cover mainly cuz of the black protective strip, it gives it a nice look. I don't know, i'm just gettin fustrated with mods i wanna do to the car.

You can get the black strip on the lower part of the bumper as a vinyl overlay. Check out this thread.

If you really want your car to look like an SE and want to save money get the Razzi front lip and get a SE grille to match and you can save even more money by installing it yourself.
