Sorry but my eyes just hurt looking at the piss-poor quality of the cell pics. Its like grabbing a screenshot of a VHS that was recorded over 10 times.

Plugging in an XLE Climate Control is meaningless operation wise. You don't have the sensors and actuators needed to make it work correctly.

He is missing the Drivers Side and Passenger Side Air Mix Control Servo Motors/Dampers, the proper XLE duct work, Room Temp. Sensor, Driver and Passenger Solar Senors, Plasmacluster, Steering Wheel Controls and Rear Passenger Vents.

Does it look better than 3 knobs? Of Course...........

^ahh... learn something new. i didn't know the duct work for the xle was different from the rest, being that the air temp has to have a way to be different from side-to-side. figures the ductwork isn't there either.

so for sure he's missing the sensors. that's a lot more sensors than i thought there would be. i was wondering why there were was more than one "nub" or insert for solar sensors in the front of the dash.

steering wheel control + related harness and rear passenger vents... he could go without it right?

I didn't even notice that he was trying to sway out the HVAC control heads. As you said, it's pointless.

well... how useless is it?

if it controls fan speed, temperature, exit mode, recirculation/fresh mode, a/c on/off, and defroster on/off... then it's not too bad.

if it lacks the control of any of the things... then i'd consider it totally pointless. we're all aware that the "auto" button and function altogether is useless, along with the dual-temp stuff.

njerald chime in on this?

also... how does your modded gauges look like? all i see is a picture of the old gauges and the circuit board of the gauges. when you say "odo", are you just referring to the "odometer" 6x1 cm section in the instrument cluster? i'm a bit confused. maybe you forgot to post the pic?

ANYTHING is possible, but not always reasonably possible. This is one of those things.
