5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I doubt that the TPMS sensors are included. Usually online places are cheaper than factory. I bought my rims at wheelsnext where they wanted an extra $350 for TPMS. And if you want tpms you would need to swap them out from your factory rims.

If you have TPMS..you'll need to take them out of your old wheels and have them put into the new ones. So no point in having tires balanced. Tire shop is just going to deflate the tires in order to insert the original TPMS.
Also, the TPMS is programmed to work with your car. Getting a TPMS from another company will not work with your car and you'll probably have an external display for it instead of in the car. If they can sell you the wheels and rims without it mounted or inflated with air, that would be good. Like I said, its going to be deflated and unmounted to add the original TPMS and than mounted, inflated and balanced again.
So that means I don't need to pay extra for the balancing and etc. right? Since I'll be doing the installation myself?
And another Q's, which tires do you think will fit best, with the smallest wheel gap without lowering it?
225/50R-18
OR: 225/45R-18 235/45R-18
I saw Rocketace's TCH with 225/50R/18.
EDIT: If I choose to swap the old TPMS, do I need to reprogram it again?
You still need to pay for balance. Whenever a tire mounted to the rim, it will have to be balance.
Between the 3 choices 225-45-18, 235-45-18 and 225-50-18.
I had all 3 sizes on my car before and currently have 225-50-18.
The 225-50-18 will give you more comfort (bigger sidewall) and will shorten the wheel gap (bigger overall diameter) BUT it will make your rims appear smaller.
I like the 235-45-18 because it is the best of both worlds.
- There is no need to reprogram the old TPMS if you swap them.

That is not correct. Their are many suppliers for fitting TPMS for our camry's - just need to re-initialize them. If you buy from a good online store, they also provide the TPMS info (code #) that your local shop can initialize them.

Ah ok. Didnt know there were universal ones. The ones I usually see have the TPMS and a little LCD screen.
