5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I'm considering purchasing these 18" ADR S-07R wheels for my 2007 Magnetic Gray Camry LE (pictured below).
Do you think they would look good on the car? If not, any suggestions for which ones I should get?
Please keep in mind my price range, looking for something under $500 shipped. I have an agreement with an eBay seller to get those ones pictured above for $400 shipped brand new, so I got a really good deal.
Also, what do you guys think about Nexen N3000 tires on these rims?
I am looking for the tires to be somewhat thin (not too bulky) but have good overall all weather performance. Don't need anything fancy, just something that will perform well through all seasons (I'm in Virginia, winters aren't too bad here)
Which size tire would be best for my car? 215/35/18 or 245/40/18 or some other size?

Thanks in advance!
That rims match your car well.
Those tire size are too small. The 2 best options to stay close to stock are:
225-45-18
235-45-18 (I like this one) but a little more expensive because of the odd size.

+1 and I start hearing more good news about the N3000. Local custom shops almost exclusively use them in my area (no winter though!) and they have no customer complains/issues. Appear to be a reasonable, value tire (<$100 for the quoted sizes).
Can someone explain the significance of the first number in tire sizes real quick? Is that just the width of the tire?
I don't want the tires on the new rims I get to look as "thick" as the tires do currently on my stock LE so would a middle number of 35 be good for that or is that too thin?
And as for the Nexen N3000s, would they be alright for VA winter? Only snows here like once in a while, not a lot at all.
Oh and another quick thing..I shouldn't buy these online already mounted/balanced with tires right? Because they will have to be deflated anyway to install the Camry's TPMS sensors? Can someone confirm this?
i've heard bad things about ADR wheels, don't expect them to last too long

2007 Super White CE 5-spd. Stock 4 Lyfe, well I have new driver side doors and side pillar.. are those mods?
As of March 1, another $2200 body shop bill due to deer attack..
if the one you are getting is exactly like that one in the picture, it ain't gonna fit since it is a 4x100/114.3
you need a 5x114.3 bolt pattern.
if you are going to get thinner tires, are you lowering your car? otherwise with thin tires, a lip and stock height...it's gonna look weird.
1st number (say 245/40/18) is the width of the tire in millimeters.
2nd number (245/40/18) is the aspect ratio of the thickness, meaning 40% of the 1st number
3rd number (245/40/18) is the diameter of the rim in inches.
with regards to ADR's quality, i believe any wheel can break depending on stress conditions. i've seen volks and works ripped apart, but then it was due to autocross and track and such.
if for daily driving only, i don't see any problems with adr.
And akira, yeah I saw yours with gunmetal and it looks great, was thinking about getting those Nex-Os but then wanted to mix it up a little.
The width on the ADR rims is 18 x 7.5 btw.
Anyone wanna comment on the TPMS sensor question I asked earlier?

My rims and tire came mounted and balanced, we just took them apart and installed the tpms from my car.
I bought my rim/tire set with TPMS installed (aftermarket) - kept the OEM TPMS in the original set of wheels....and sold the brand new OEM set to a fellow TN'er.
