yes, you have to feel for the switch in the dark. There is no way to have the light on at all times, the wiring for the light is internal to the switch. Maybe the switch can be opened and jury rigged so that the light come on when the ignition is on.
i bought the switch a long time ago, i just got around installing it. search ebay for saab switches or toyota 4-runner/land cruiser switches or lexus switches, they should all be about the same. i only paid like 5.00 usd and free shipping.
