Gen6 2009 Camry SE bumer removal

I read the DIY on how to remove the bumper and have some questions. I looked under the car to see the splash guard. How many bolts are there for the splash guard? I believe on the SE there are some bolts holding on the body kit which I dont think I need to remove. I am just looking for some clarification. Thanks.

That makes it a bit easier. Do you have to lift the car up?

It would be a lot easier if you put it up on jack stands.

Here is another thread with pics to help.

DIY: Bumper Removal

No need to lift or anything, just some tools. And be careful with those plastic clips.

Just use flatheads, a small thin end, and slowly pry/stab it out, careful, because some may crack.

Also, try to remember where they came out of, that's important too, lol.

Today I went ahead and looked under my car to see what has to be removed. There are bolts that keep the body kit on which I dont need to remove. As I understand I need to remove the engine cover though. Why do I need to remove that engine cover? It doesn't seem to effect the bumper at all...

Not the "engine cover".. It's the black plastic that mount at the front.
