07 Camry OEM Fog lights

I just installed OEM fog lights. Are they suppose to shine outward and up? Or downward and blend in with the low beams?

I think this is true of most of the projector style lights. I miss the old type. My 99 BMW 3 series was the worst of all but the 07 Camry is not much better. The projector style lights have rays and patterns to it, and fake you out with shadows and precieved movement as the car moves. It's not an even flood like the old style lights. They also cause road rage. Even when adjusted correctly other drviers think you are bright lighting them even when you are not. It seems that some folks still don't realize there is a "new" kind of headlight out there and they want to blame you for it.

I leave my fogs off during the night. Even with regular bulbs, Gen6 camry foglights are known to glare.

I think all fog lights should have amber lenses. If they produce white light they are not fog lights just extra head lights.

doesn't sound too good. i dunnoe about the OEM one but i bought fogs on ebay and they're adjustable. my friends told me it was glaring on one side so i twist the knob to point the lights downward. found out by playing with it. it might help a bit

If you had checked the "Newbies please read before posting!" thread in the stickies you would have found a link to the Gen 6 manual. I remember the manual specifically showing how to adjust the fog lights...

EDIT: I went back and checked for you since you didn't have the courtesy to read the sticky that was put there to help you. Sure enough, after going to the Gen 6 Camry manual link and looking under lighting, the information is there. Fog lights start on page LI-78 and adjustment information is on page LI-80. Here's the link so you don't have to waste any more effort:

http://www.camrystuff.com/manuals/Ge...E/Lighting.pdf

The information is exact, instead of the vague upward or downward aiming method.

Thanks TRD VVTi. I just realigned the fog lights today. Much better now. Now I either need 3000k HIDs or Yellow H11 Bulbs.

Well I don't want HIDs on it cuz i don't want to deal with the ballast and the wiring. Anyone know a good pair of bulbs? The only good ones i can think of are the PIAA Plasma Ion Crystal Yellow.

You're very welcome.

Welcome to TN.

I just use high beam bulbs in my fog lights. That's good enough for me.

Fog light bulbs have been discussed many times as well. Try using the search function.
