Homelink Mirror Install

I have an 09 Camary SE and would like to install a Homelink mirror with Compass/Temp. I understand I need to remove the left door post cover to route the harness. I think there is an airbag in the neighborhood; can anyone tell me how to do the installation without getting a big bang out of the process?
thanks
JW Thomas

you already have a temp gauge in the dash....if you get one without temp, it will be easier since you wont need to run any extra wires but what is there already (providing you have a moonroof).....

Don't touch the airbag, because the cover has breakable clips, so, you need to replace them if you open them once. Do a wiring like in this topic: Footwell light to domelight DIY

We haven't had a customer break anything pulling that airbag trim yet. But then we supply support, and installation instructions with the mirror purchase.
