5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
So... did you go with the H11, 9006, or 9005 conversion? I want yellow fogs, but do not want to deal with possible socket melting with higher wattage. Even the H11 bulbs say 80w on the package but the stockers say 55w. What is the general consensus about which bulb to get if blinding brightness is not the goal?

Yeah they're 80W in truth. I used to run these things. One day my mechanic told me the socket was so hot so I told him to throw 'em out.
If you're gonna run bulbs over 55W, it should be done over a separate harness.

they actually are harmful. i have the nokya's installed and modified to run the high beam bulbs in my low beam sockets(9006-9005 conversion) and it actually melted my harness. I ended up buying the nokya high temp harnesses from ebay and spliced them in and now thy are fine
