Help! OEM Headlight bulb Question

Well, after 6.5 years my low beam headlight went out. Is it best to replace BOTH at this time even though only one is out....wouldn't repalcing just one result in one headlight being brighter than the other? What brands are good?

WalMart has GEs for $7.5 and Sylvania XVs OEM at $18 for a pair?

Any tips on the install?

THANKS!

You have to replace both. Sylvania Xtra is good.

Let it cool down first before you touch it.

Look on the back of the headlight, usually it has the rubber covers on the back, take that off, then take out the bulbs, usually locked in place with clips. Now, put the new ones in reverse order. Turn the switch on, and... BOOM! Your car just blown up.

Tips: If you can't get the bulbs out, put the gear in D and floor the accelerator and hit whatever is in front of you, that should make the job easier.

Touch the housings, but not the glass part.

I afraid to ask how u do oil change.

No, he don't HAVE TO change both bulbs. But it's advised since the other bulb is about to burn anyway since both were in at the same time.

I said don't touch the glass part of the bulb. Don't change my word. The glove should help but to me any touching would leave some kind of residue and that will reduce the life of the bulb.

I'd jack up the car until it flips over, once it's upside down, it'll be a lot easier, you can just suck up the oil with straws.

I was thinking more shooting a couple of holes aiming from the top. Than patch it together with a few bubble gums and pull in the oil. Of cause after a few oil change U'll run out of spot to shoot without hitting the bubble gums.
