is this a do it your self job...dash & shifter bulb

A bulb behind one of the knobs (AC/fan etc) has gone out. Not the light that lights up when you push in the button on the knob, just the one that illuminates the area behind the knob. What does these cost and is it difficult to replace?

I have the same issue with the shifter bulb (P/N/D/R etc)? Can I easily replace this one?

Thanks All.

U should be able to do it yourself.

Soldering iron and some solder and some soldering skill should get the job done. Find out the size of the light and go find the color you want. U might have to get it in bulk if it's surface mount light(s).

Most of the new one are soldered on and using SMT light(s). These lights are very small in size and cheap.

Open it up and see what U need. Shouldn't be too hard to do.

Have you check here http://www.camrystuff.com/index.php?page=Gen4_Manuals

I recommend checking the Front & Rear Door and Instrument Panel... I also recommend checking page 13 in that PDF file. Hope that help. The few last page also informative.

And when U want some reading or just digging around for fun I recommend checking out the Newbies please read before posting! ... many good stuff there.
