JBL Sound System Strange Display Behavior

The display for the JBL system in the wife's 07 Camry has been acting up lately. Every once in a while the display with start flashing on and off in 2 or 3 second intervals. On for 2 seconds and then off for 2 seconds. It continues to do this for about a minute until it comes back on steady. However, when it does come back on steady, it's very dim. Shutting the system off, waiting about 30 seconds and then turning it back on brings the system back to normal. I was just wondering if anybody else with the JBL system has experienced this behavior.

My 2007 LE has a similar problem with the display. On occassion it will be jiberish; black spots that are not readable. It may stay like this or go blank. To correct, sometimes it takes turning the vehicle off, other times it just goes away. Waiting for it to fail befroe taking it in.

Thanks for responding. I have also seen the black spots. In my cases they were more like a row of upright rectangles. Some of the rectangles were completely filled out and some were not.

Has anybody else experienced anything like I described?

As a follow up; it has been quite hot here and I have had the air blasting over the past few days. There seems to be a connection between either the air on or outside temperature high as my display has really been acting up. Still intermitent though. I am going to talk to the dealer and ask them if a picture of the display malfunctioning will be enough for them to work on it or if they have to see it first hand.
