Timing belt service question

My father recently got the timing belt service done to his 2002 Toyota Camry with 225k miles. Belts and water pump replaced. Things is, after the service there has been a noise like a vibration, like a loud fan. It's not very noticable but at the same time you can also "feel" the noise. Not sure if explained that right but I'm sure someone might know what I mean. It's not a vibration or a pulsation that is heavily noticable but for someone that drives that car every day it's there. Any ideas what the problem could be? Also, there has a been a loss of power since the service. While driving at 40mph, it's like there is something holding the car back. Any ideas?

When you brought it back to the place that did the service what did they say?

I can't hear the noise or where it's coming from through my computer. Do you have a vid? I assume the car is a V6.

I'm guessing that the timing belt wasn't installed properly...after all, since it was replaced you have the problem.

The car is still there and the mechanic hears the noise but insists that it's normal. It's like a whirring noise. Can't really explain and don't think it's loud enough to be picked up on video. They are going to reinstall the timing belt to ensure it was done right.
Yes, it's a V-6

I would bet that they did something wrong.

Keep the thread updated with the progress.
