One year later ....

... and I have nothing bad to say about my 07 SE. I freaking love my car. I have to admit I was extemely nervous after reading some of the lemon cases on this forum a year ago after I bought it but I have had almost no issues at all with mine after one year and 25k miles.

I still average 27 to 28 mpg depending how much I floor it that week. Pretty damn good for six cylinder (not being driven conservatively) imo.

Most people don't have problems with their Gen 6's.

It's nice to see you are also having good luck with yours.

I totally agree, after 1 year and 8,400 miles (cross my fingers) I have had zero issues with my Gen 6. I love her!

I have almost 40k on my '07 V6 LE.. everything good so far. I liked it so much I bought my wife an '09 just like mine to replace her gas guzeling '02 Tundra. We also loved our '02 Rav 4 except it wore out the rear tires too often. Can you tell we like Toyotas ?

I kept my '02 Tundra Although it is mostly parked ... in fact I have to put the battery on a charger some months as much as it sits.

Why did you get the LE over the SE if you were getting the six pack under the hood? Just curious.

It was cheaper and my wife and I don't like the grille and skirt moulding on the SE. We go for more of the luxury look. In fact I put a 07 Hybrid grill in mine to get the chrome trim look. Makes it look wider in the front and more Lexus like.

However, we do like power when we need it. If I have 4 big fat Americans in the car and need to get up a steep ramp to the freeway and match (or exceed) the speed of traffic when I get to the top... well I don't trust the 4 to be able to do that. And it's not like the MPG difference is that much, the gas mileage is still great on the 6. It's well worth the extra power. I think the HP/MPG ratio on the 6 is just amazing.

I also think the resale value will be better on the V6. Used ones with the 6 seem to be harder to find then the 4 so I should not have any problem selling it. I looked at Carmax and they didn't have any V6 used ones and the 4s they had were almost retail sticker price. With a resale vaule like that I want to be on the selling end of the used market, so we buy new.
