5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I have a 2007 Camry, 4 cylinder auto., recently the dashboard indicator for the outside air temperature has been reading about 15 degrees too cool . Like today it reads 85, real outside temp is 100. Anybody have any ideas what problem might be, or even where the outside air sensor is located ? Has always been accurate up to this point.
Thanks for all the replies. I had done a search without finding any info before posting. I went back and read a lot of the service documentation, there is quite a bit of heavy reading , seems something as simple as outside temp goes through a lot of gyrations before it is displayed. I will probably take it to the dealer before warranty runs out. gdanaher, I did find it right behind the grille, directly below the Toyota emblem, but I didn't see anything out of the ordinary .
