Thoughts or Suggestions?

Hey all!

Okay, so I've searched and searched, and unless I'm completely missing it, I haven't found anything related.

I traded-in my '04 LE (i4) for an '09 SE (i4) on 6/21.
This is my 3rd Camry and I really love it! (Although I just KNOW I'm gonna kick myself for not waiting until the 2010 comes out, cuz I'm sure it's gonna have LEDs!)

Anyway.......I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced a "popping" sound when they shift into Reverse.

This only happens when the car has been sitting overnight, and I'm backing out of the garage for work, and is sometimes quite loud. Doesn't do it again until the next morning, even after the car has been parked all day while I'm at work. (I've never heard the "popping" sound when I shift directly into Drive.)

Anyone else experience this, or have any thoughts or suggestions?

No pops here...if it is something that bothers you, take her to the dealer

Could possibly be the ABS check that occurs everytime the car is turned on. If it's left overnight, it could be more loud.

My car has the same sound when I put the transmission into reverse practically every time, no matter how long the car has been sitting. I don't know if it is normal or not though.

Gonna have the dealer perform TSB 0068-08, and will have it checked out then.

If anyone else has ideas, that would be great!
Otherwise, I'll post an update after I get back from the dealership.

Put the E-Brake on before shifting to park, then see if it is repeatable, with the E-Brake still applied, the next morning.......

Didn't make a difference. Thanks though! Was worth a shot!

Will let ya know what I find out from the dealer this weekend.
