70 K service

So I went to the http://smg.toyotapartsandservice.com site because I'm pretty sure my 02 V6 (67k miles) is due for some pretty important things like new plugs and a serpentine belt. But that site just says it's almost time for an oil change. Is there any factory advice on how often the plugs get changed? I know the job is an absolute bear with this engine, but I just finished a 1000 mile road trip getting rather crappy MPG, and so I'm ready to do a massive tuneup on this car (bought it used, so I want to everything on it myself to make sure it's all straight).

Looks like you are pretty sure.....wrong.

If you keep hitting the next button for increased interval, you will come to the spark plugs. How tough is that??

Serpentine gets inspected and replaced as needed.......

You can replace any parts you want before Toyota's recommendation. I would never go as long as they recommend for plugs.

cool thanks for the advice. It's good to know that the belts are always and "inspect" item and not a replacement.

Would've been nice to get the advice with a bunch of attitude, too. Just a courtesy thing, ya know. One day, I might answer a question of yours.

Might have been nice but I wouldn't do that.

Looking forward to it...........

The OP is due for a timing belt. The maintenance guide referenced will say that. It's 6 years or 90,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Major service intervals are every 24 months or 30,000 miles. The maintenance guide shows that. There are intermediate services every 12 months or 15,000 miles.
