I have a V6 SE and I would like to put some bigger exhaust tips on it for appearance. Are the stock ones part of the muffler? I looked under the car today and there was no bolt holding it on. Thanks.
They are welded. You can have a muffler shop change it. I think that's how Lammydi & others do it, take it to the shop.
Lammydi has a I4 (1 exhaust). He has a custom dual exhaust.
Others with V6 and who have a bigger tip had their muffler changed to a Magnaflow, HKS or whatever other brands are out there. And yes, they are all welded on.

What muffler do you guys recommend and how much will it cost to have welded in?
Long story - many options.
I use Magnaflow oval 4x9 with magnaflow3x4 oval tips. But their are many other option out their. I paid $300 including muffler, tips, and labor.
I like magnaflow - straight through design, deep sound but not raspy, fully welded and not a cheap can.

What is the point of the different tips? Where did you get it installed? Thanks.

..the mufflers did not have any tips, got to put something on. Or do you mean recycling the OEM tips (cutting them off and rewelding on the new muffler)? I did not like the OEM tips - too short and look like slip over tips.
