Transmission Help!
I took my '07 Camry in because the check engine light was on and the display said "check VSC system". The dealer reset the system and sent me home saying that the car just needed a software upgrade for the transmission. 2 weeks later the same thing happens and this time they said the transmission needs replacement.
I picked up the car today and now the cabin is very loud. Previously this was a quiet car. It is not so much engine or road noise, although those do seem more prominent, but I can hear the tranny through the floor of the vehicle. Is it possible that there is some sound dampening material between the tranny and the cabin floor that was not put back in place?
The noise increases in volume during acceleration and gets quiet once I hit cruising speed. I am very confident it is coming from beneath the car and not from the engine.
Any ideas?
Thanks for your help!
