not sure on the exact specs of the turbo as of yet, but i have managed to track down some companies who make internal parts that will work in the 4 cylinder motors. im going to lower the car, tint it, and get new exhaust then begin saving for/purchasing parts for the turbo. i would like to have it done in about a year if possible

how much farication will be needed to use a turbo kit from a tc to the camry? I think the only issue will be intercooler piping.
of course it doesnt matter to me cus i have a v6 but for anyone who has a cyl and hasnt thought of that.
im actually basing my build off of a scion that was in super street in august of 2006 i believe. that car was dynoed at over 500 whp which is a bit more than i would like. i pulled out my intake, engine cover, heatshield, and as much as i could that would easily goback and looked around and there is plenty of space. but your right, the intercooler piping is posing a problem.
i currently have a form on the way to turbonetics that tells what car, engine, engine specs, current and desired power, etc and they will be able to email me which turbo size(s) would be best suited for my needs as well as which intercooler size(s)

You're going to waste a lot of time and effort doing a turbo on the 4-banger. Just trade in your Camry for a V6 powered one. You get even more power that way (especially at highway speeds), warranty and a factory look.
A turbo 4-banger Camry still isn't as good as a stock V6 Camry.

You'll get props and respect, tho
I think that's good enough
take it from me who spent close to 10g's going turbo just isnt worth it. your car just isnt meant to withstand that much power on an everyday purpose. not only do you have to buy a turbo kit thats built well with every accessory known to man to monitor everything thats going on but then you have to upgrade the tranny, engine, suspension, fuel system, brakes, and etc... just a bunch of stuff has to be done correctly to have a well performing car. or you can just do a simple turbo kit and do low boost but then whats the point of that. to spend so much money for little power compared to what you want.
Just my thoughts: low boost and moderate power increase to not damage all the rest - it's better and cheaper to upgrade for a used V6 - bragging rights? Who knows other than a view people who can look under the hood - and that requires you brag about it fist that they take a look. Large boost - why bother and start with a Camry I4 - too much money, too much risk...get a decent sports care as base and start from their. Last but not least - I "love" these announcements - "my plan is to do xxx in a year or so". Will you ever do it for real? just my 2 cents :-)
