Just out of curiosity, are you satisfied with your JBL Premium stereo "8 speakers" system?
Personally I think they are decent, I've added a 12" eD sub running off of an Alpine mono amp so far, while the front stage is decent, but I'm getting ready to upgrade them to the DLS UR6i components soon, and going to feed them with the eD Nine.2x (200w x2 @12.5v). I intend to keep the 6 disc changer for the stock look.

I got the nav w/4 cd changer. I like what the JBL outputs. A big change from my 95 Ford Taurus. I cant complain. I'm not an audiophile but if it plays my music and thumps, thats all it matters to me.
Yes I'm very happy with my audio system, I enjoy listening to music in my car just as much if not more than listening to stuff at home. No desire to upgrade it, even the bass is fine for me.
A couple subs in back rattling the trunk lid and license plate sounds tempting but.... j/k.

well, i agree its decent. But for $940, i think it's too much for the 6cd changer. since its installed, i dont think im gonna invest any money in it either
i may be alone in this...
but i dont like the jbl stereo much. im the kind of guy that likes loud, high quality sounding music. not exactly wat u would call an audiophile, but im a fan of quality as well as volume
i myself bought the Polk db212-2. its extremely large, and takes up half of my trunk. but its one of the loudest pre-built sub enclosures out there. it has a high sensitivity rating, something i look at often, and the subs themselves are something of my taste. i listen to a lot of heavy rock/metal and rap, so loud and boomy is perfect for me.
the jbl system doesnt go very loud. the speakers are fairly weak, being made of paper with a foam surround, and the amp is not nearly as strong as it needs to be. its advertised to have 440 watts (max power), but divided by 8 speakers, thats 55 max watts per speaker. RMS is even lower than that, much to my disappointment. dont get me wrong, the jbl system has a nice sound, and is a great factory stereo for people that dont care too much about blasting. but for someone like me, its much too weaksauce to satisfy my listening pleasure
I love it... unfortunately if I have the bass setting above "0" and the volume above "20" or so, the interior shakes and rattles in multiple places. (sunroof, passenger's b- pillar, passenger door speaker)
Multiple trips to the dealer have not fixed it, so I've just learned to keep the bass turned down.
I think the Camry JBL system is probably the finest system in this market segment -- you can definitely think of it as an "entry-level" luxury "designed for the acoustics of this particular car" system. You can read more about that, here:
No, I suppose if you want thumping bass that everyone in the neighborhood can hear, then that's not the kind of sound that the JBL system can provide. But, if you want excellent, balanced, high-quality sound at reasonable volume levels, the JBL system is absolutely excellent. It's far better than any system I've ever had in any previous vehicle. And, while aftermarket systems might well give you more thumping bass volume, there's just no way that the "average" aftermarket system could match the balance and the ambiance designed into the JBL system. You would need a far more top-of-the-line system with an actual professional acoustics engineer tuning it, to approach the results of all of the hours that the JBL professionals put into tuning their system to the Camry's interior.
I'm 100% satisfied with the JBL system, and couldn't recommend it more highly!
The JBL system is one of the main reasons I bought my '05 SE. It is plenty loud for me in the car and everything sounds fine to me.
The only thing I wish it did have was a external input port for my iPod and XM radio (I use the XM at work in my semi-truck as well).
I really like the JBL system it does fine by me. Funny some people don't like it but why do people ask me how much I paid for the high end sound system when they hear it.
I get asked that all the time! Just Saturday night I had to open my truck to show someone that there weren't subs in there. This is the first car that I have owned since I was 16 that I am NOT going to change out the stereo system. It has just enough bass for me to get my fix when needed and I am able to keep all of my trunk space. (That's bonus points with the Mrs. cause the stroller can fit in my car easily now)

I HATE this JBL system! All the music, except for the bass, sounds like it's coming from only the front dash, like they did in the 80's. I absolutely hate it. It's all bass, and all sounds like it's coming from the front dash. Not surround at all. My 98 Mercury Sable had better sound than this.
