problem with lights

so my car has had this problem for a while but yeah i just wanted to ask.

so you know for the gen 6 there is 4 clicks including the off for the headlight/hi beam and you guys know wat i mean

first is the off
2nd is auto
3rd is the DRL and side marker? or yeah the blinkers
4th is headlight on

so everything is fine except when i turn the knob to the 4th click, there is no change with the 3rd click. it'll just have the DRL and the side lights. no headlights

so basically click 3 and 4 are the same thing....

WTH IS GOING on

Mine is different on my '07 SE V6. On mine, the last click is auto.

What year is your car?

Anyway.. on my Camry SE V6 '07

1 - Off
2 - Daylight
3 - Auto (switching between 2 and 4 depending on the light sensor)
4 - Headlight ON

If at night, I won't see the different between 3 and 4 because both will turn on the headlight. Anyway, does your headlight ever turn on? If none of the position turns on your headlight than a trip to the dealer is in order ASAP.
Mine is a 2009 Camry SE V6 and its different from yours

1. OFF
2. Auto
3. DRL (just a dot)
4. Headlight ON

Just went outside to check. You are right. It's Auto, Dot, and Headlight.

The dot is the parking lights. If you can't turn on the low beam manually then there is something wrong with your stalk.

What if you just pull the stalk towards you, does that turn on the low and high beams?

yeah it does. its just the last click where it turns on manually, it doesnt work. just the hi beam in DRL works.. so its notr even like it DOESNT work. it works the wrong way. does this kind of make sense?

if i have to make a video i will cause i ithkn it'll be esasier to describe my problem. haha

Yup, I understand. Just get it fixed while it's still under warranty.

Any dealer. Just like you can take your car to any Toyota dealer to have your oil change done...unless you have free oil change. That is dealer specific/promotion/offer.
