5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.

2009 Camry SE V6 w/leather, nav
LIKES:
* This thing is fast! My last car was a 2000 Accord V6, and this thing feels like a rocket by comparison. Unfortunately, I have 700+ miles to go before I can go full-throttle :P
* Nice ride/handling compromise. It feels firm without being harsh. You can feel the bumps, but only once. The ride is never jarring and I don't feel like I'm driving a boat/Japanese Buick.
* Better styling than other mainstream sedans, IMO. I was either going to buy another Accord or a Camry, and I chose the Camry because the new Accord looks horrible. The rear looks like a Buick, and the rest of the car has confused lines. Ugh. Honda makes good machinery, but their designers need to be fired.
DISLIKES:
* No folding mirrors, WTF? I'm not sure what they were thinking here. I saw a new Corolla with folding mirrors, but the Camry has none. This is rediculous... I wonder what the design decision was here. Living near the city means that I will inevitably lose a mirror or 2 over the lifetime of my car. Damnit.
* No climate control on the SE. Again, WTF? My 8 year-old Accord had folding mirrors AND climate control, yet my brand-new Camry doesn't? You shouldn't have to get the XLE for such a common/simple option. So what if I want a sporty/lux model :\
* Questionable build quality. Some interior plastics seem very cheap. I can push some of them with one finger and they feel like they're going to fall off.
would of been nice to have folding mirrors.
personally would of wanted a little bit more options like nav or bluetooth for a car that had a 29,xxx sticker price.
oh and also push start button. i have the remote start but you cant even get in the car when you have it on. i know the king ranch ford truck that my friend has, has the remote start as well but he can enter the truck and just place the key in to keep the car on and running.
and also beside dual exhaust something else to establish the se different from the le. i know there some interior choices that arent available for the le model but would liked a different spin.
i could of got a le v6 and could of looked the same as the se v6 but pay a cheaper price.
maybe even a paint difference between models. like burnt orange, brown, etc.. not that i like those <-- colors but just have something different.
I apologize if someone has already created a similar thread, but I didn't see anything (a consolidation of opinions) in the few pages I went through.
Anyway, I would appreciate your input.

The mirror not folding I found after getting the car. The leather seat unable to fold down, I found out later too. The cracking noise I notice it too but it hasn't increase so it's still good.

Anyway, I still can live with it.
Mirrors not folding? Well, you can always drive real close to a wall and hit your mirrors, that'll fold them for sure.
