The fold and unfold is done by reversing polarity on the white and grey wires. They have limit sensors which turn off the power to them once they meet their limits. If you use a DPDT relay with the mirror in the center position you supply positive and negative to upper or lower terminals and then reverse the leads on the lower terminals thus when ignition is on relay lifts to upper position and mirrors extend out and when ignition turned off relay collapses and power is supplied in reverse direction which folds them in.

Cool! that info is exactly what I was lookin for... I've been a member here on TN for awhile but never posted anything. I recently had my mirrors installed after waiting a long month to receive them. I wanted them either tied into the ignition or my alarm to fold/unfold when armed/disarmed. But my installer wasnt sure if the mirrors would continue to cycle the power once folded and possibly drain the battery. I currently have them on a switch and also hooked up to an auxillary channel off my alarm. I can control them with my alarm remote.

A lot of people have pm's me attempting to explain your problem and to overlook it, however a disability does not give the person the right to insult at will whomever he feels.

It appears that you know the reaction you will get by your posted comments however you feel that even negative attention is better then no attention.

You might want to try and be constructive rather then insulting anyone you so please as the need arises.

I base these comments on 31 years of experience and reading the numerous posts you reply to.

I must say, njerald does help...sometimes. Majority of the time are stupid remarks..........................

For all we know, he could be doing it all for attention or just to get his jollies off by seeing how we would respond.

Anyways, back on top......................................

Look similar to mine with a few more options, but more expensive.

Its cool that it comes with the connectors, jus keep in mind they are larger and more bulky then wires an its gonna be a pain to run a connector through the door rubber.
