hi, everyone i am new to this forum and i just got some HID kit on my 2005 Camry sedan. The brand is called PROMAX. For some reason when i install everything it doesnt work. I tried installing it on my Accord and it works. Is there something i have to bypass in order to get my HID to work on my camry?
turn it on!! lol jk...make sure your ground wire is grounded to metal. i thought mine didnt work until i scrached off some paint so it would touch metal and BAMM it worked fine.
Ok, So i have been looking for a DIY for the HID install (no Retrofitting yet) and have not been able to find it. It seems that the DIY in the sticky doesn't show you....then again I am going blind. anyone care to help?
i dont have a grounded wire. its only the ballast and wires connected to the hid bulb.

Like Car harness to bulb to ballast.. or car harness to ballast to bulb? if that makes sense? different kits seem to have different ways/orders that you connect the wiring. And on the ballast the sockets are only suppose to go one way.. check for a (+) or (-) charge on the wiring and see if they match up with the ones that should be labeled on the ballast.
not to hi-jack the thread, but i also have a 2005 camry le, and i wanted to get HID headlights too, is there a way of adding hid headlights but keeping the stock headlight reflectors, i do not want to do a retro-fit
