Gen5 Bought A Oem Navigation Having Trouble Installing GEN 5

Ok , I purchased a oem toyota navigation for my 2006 toyota camry se with the jbl amp. The problem Im having is that when coneccted to my car, the system will work fine, but the volume controlls dont work, on either my navigations head unit or the steering wheel controls. Also for some reason I can hear my amp when I turn the car on. Any help would be great

Which wire harness did you use?

I believe for the jbl/navi head unit, it uses a slightly different wiring harness...

that would explain why volume control no worky...

also what do you mean you can hear the amp?? you mean like a high pitched whine?? then most probably feedback... try routing the power cables further away from the speaker cables...

in custom systems... if you are running a lot of power to amps etc... you wire the audio down one side of the car, the power on the other side to prevent that...

other than that you need to clarify what you mean by you can hear your amp... and do research on wiring harnesses for non jbl vs. jbl headunits...
