Ground pint - dirver side interior.

200 Camry XLE.
Got a fog light kit of ebay. I have to fix the square fog light switch on the driver side square pop out hole provided just beside the fuse box.

I need a grounding point here. Can't seem to find a good one. I looked!

Also need to tap into the lowbeam for the green wire so that the fog are on only when the lowbeams are on. I only see the tail light fuse here and seems to be a pain in the butt to tap into a fuse!

If there are no obvious screws in the body near your work area, make one. Find some metal up there that supports the dash or the side panel near the parking brake and drill a hole and follow it with a self tapping screw. Just don't drill through the outer body, electrical wiring, or hydraulic lines, and all is good.

I've never heard of a 200 Camry XLE. What year is it?

there is a ground point in the driver's kick panel in the picture you posted... you didn't look hard enough. look for any bolt screwed into the "frame" just above everything in your picture. it may be hiding behind a big bundle of wires...

In the time wasted discussing where to find or create a ground point a competent repairman could have drilled and tapped 50 screws to the interior body panels and fitted the danged car with all the ground points anyone could imagine. An expert repairman would have found 100.

I found an existing ground point. Had to remove the panel under the steering col. 200 was a typo. 2002 camry. Thx.

FYI I also tapped into the 10 amp tail light fuse. Was pretty easy.
