TPMS un-registering itself?

So my the tires on my TPMS-installed wheels were going bald. So I took them off about 3 months ago and put my spare set on, and I've been driving around with the TMPS light on. Well, I just reinstalled the same set of TPMS wheels with bald tires back on the car. (Note that the wheels and tires were never broken apart, so the TMPS sensors were never touched.) After mounted, the TPMS light was still on, which I figured was due to some air escaping while the wheels were in storage. So I did the TPMS reset, but my warning light stays on. I've done the reset about 10 times trying to get it to go off, but nothing works.

The only thing I did while the spare set was on the car was work on the car stereo, which included disconnecting the 12V battery. Could that have unregistered the set of 4 TMPS sensors from the ECU? Any other reason why my TMPS sensors would suddenly stop working?

Just unplug the battery and plug it back in. Maybe it'll reconnect?

Did you check all TPMS wheels/tires for proper air pressure???

If so, inflate to 36-37 psi and try again.

It only takes one sensor to set off the light.

The shop procedure is in the Service Manual.

That's a good idea, to add a few psi to all tires and "re-synch" them at a higher psi. I tried everything else in the service manual that did not involve an intelligent tester.
