USA 1st time Camry owner need help

Hello all,

I just purchased my 1st Camry, it's an 2008 LE v6 3.5 6 speed automatic. I love the ride but have 2 issues. 1. I have a strange rattling noise coming from my dash board when it's cold or the a/c is on. 2. and when I go over a bump the moon roof rattles. Besides those small issues it's a nice car. Any suggestions before I send it odd to the dealer would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
fdipill

Grab your keys, and make a trip to the dealer for some warranty work.

I believe there are TSBs for both issues. I have the dash squeak during the winter. It only happens when it is really cold out.
I would think long and hard before letting the dealership take apart your interior for a small noise. Who knows how many more noises you will have after they put it back together.

Good point, I really don't want the whole dash board ripped out, I only have 3k on it. Maybe I'll settle for getting the moon roof fixed. I would be curious if any one out here had this problem and was it corrected "the right way" and never heard these rattles?

Thanks,
fdiphill

I kind of agree with you. I had a rattle in a new vehicle (not toyota) they replaced the dash, carpet, and painted some other portion of the interior that they could only get in black and the vehicle NEVER looked right after! (of course they damaged these trying to get the rattle out that ended up being a broken weld in the firewall [that was what I was told]). Then again this dealership went out of business soon after!

If it is not that annoying you may choose to live with it, IF you have a trust worthy dealership (find one if not) let them try to fix it.

Good luck and let us know either way!
