Canada No more "lights on" warning chime !

Hi everyone.

My girlfriend has a 2004 Camry Le. The problem is that we don't hear the warning chime when we forget the lights on and exit the car. I forget them on quite often because of that.

I can still hear it when i leave the key in the ignition and open the door but not for the lights.

Anyone knows what can be done or how to fix it ?

Thank you

The Dogfather

Not sure it's the same but on my Gen6 alarm key I can press twice on "Lock" to basically turn off that headlight remotely.

Yeah i know but i don't use the "auto" feature for the head lights. I'm old school i guess so i turn them on automatically when i start the car.

I don't use the auto feature either, I don't have it. When the lights are on manually, they turn themselves off after a minute when you turn the car off.

And yes, pressing lock twice on the remote will also turn off the headlights.

why do it manually when the car will just do it for you? All you have to do it pres lock twice on the remote. Or just lock your doors and they will turn off in a minute on their own.

You guys were right all the way. I had a chance to try it many times tonight and it works. Both ways (if i wait a minute or if i press the lock button on the remote).

It's odd because it happened 2 or 3 times in the last weeks that they didn't turn off after a minute.

Anyway i'll make sure to press that lock button from now on.

Thanks everyone.

They not suppose to do that. Your lights will turn off after 30 seconds when you open your door. For detailed description go to your owners manual at page 98.

Hope this helps,

Sam
