Yes

Yes

Use Goo-Gone or similar to remove the adhesive residue.

Fishing line is the best, it's plastic and durable. Dental floss breaks so easily.

Oh, before you begin, spray the emblem and the surrounding area with water first, get it wet, so that you will not scratch/leave scuff marks on anything.

Good Luck!

If you are careful take a hair dryer or heat gun on low and heat up the emblem a little to loosen the adhesive. Then take a good fishing line and work it under the emblem, works great! Just don't heat the paint up too much!

do not use metal...
all the suggestions are good...

heat a little or do it in the middle of the afternoon.... take some fishing line or dental floss... get two sticks, screwdrivers etc.... and make yourself a little garrote... i.e. a string tied to two sticks so you can use them as handles.. and wont mess up your hands...

then get some rubbing compound... and go over where the emblems were...
as all things involving your paint and finish of the car... go slow take it easy, and it should turn out ok...

go easy on the goo-gone stuff when you use it. After you wiped off all the residue with goo-gone, it's best to wax that area to because you removed most of it with goo-gone.

use a little wax to clean out the spot after you're done.

I just used dental floss and rubbing alcohol to clean it, just make sure to leave that part of the car in the sun for a while so it's nice and hot.
