so idk if anyone looks at they're box often but when i took my car to get its oil changed last the people there lost one of the tiny little nuts in the air filter box where you screw the top down. ive tried calling toyota and they say they cant get me a replacement i have to but a new box. does anyone have any suggestions or a replacement perhaps?
If you still have the receipt/proof of payment that they messed with your box. Then technically, aren't they at fault? If so, I would take it up with the customer service over there..

It should be a standard sized screw. See if you can take the screw out and go to a hardware store or an autoparts store and find a matching nut. I don't know the screw size or thread count, but it shouldn't be hard to find.
If there is, try getting off one of the other nuts holding the air box cover down. Take it to a hardware store to match. This's bullcrap about only being able to buy a new box. If that's the case, just put a pod filter on and turn it into ram air intake
Take the other screw or whatever to the store and find a matching nut or screw or whatever you're looking for and buy the part you need.
Autoparts stores usually have a display with threaded bots and nuts embedded in them to help you determine the correct size. Hardware stores have loose nuts and bolts that you can try out.
The thing you'll need is metric so it'll start with M; for example M8x1.5 or something like that. This is not the part you need, just a random screw size and thread count.
I pulled one off my box looking for a replacement. The washer that the bolt goes through is actually connected on there, which holds the pieces together in that slot on the air box. IIRC the bottom of the bolt is unthreaded and the threading starts about half way up. I bought a whole set of metric washers/bolts trying to find one that fit but had no luck.
Wait, did your service include changing air filter or has anything to do with air filter? Why they screw with your screw in the air filter for an oil change?
A pic would help. I don't remember having to unscrew anything when I change my air filter. There were only 2 or 3 clips.

I know Jiffy Lube checks the air filter. To make it easy for themselves they probably leave the back bolt undone, which will eventually fall out.
