5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I would also point out that "this is a good time to buy a truck." Unsold trucks have been utterly piling up on dealer lots all over the country.
So, man, if you really wanted to get into a truck, you couldn't have done it at a better time!
Good luck!
Yeah, they have some great deals on trucks now, and are willing to negotiate some more!

That's good to hear, as for gas mileage I don't really care, I'll just drive a bit less

now how long do we have to wait for a 4-6 inch lift... huge tires...
haha, well part of the reason I got the offroad package was so I didn't have to do as many mods to the truck, I want to keep it as stock as possible. Although I'm sure after a few months I will change my mind, haha!
I did it (Paul I can't wait to hear your response, lol). I traded in my car for a 2009 Tacoma Double Cab V6 4x4 w/6-speed manual with the offroad and audio package in barcelona red. I wanted something that was more rugged, better in the winter, and was fun/easy to drive offroad. I know people love numbers so i'll tell you what I got for a trade. I was able to get $18,000 for my 2007 Camry LE V6 w/32K miles, KBB puts it at $15,000 for trade in, $16,500 for private party. I also was able to finance it at 4.9% for 60 months.
I'll get some pics when it arrives on Tuesday.
WTF? I remember you looking at them but I didn't think you were serious. You have to come by so I can check it out.

supercharger? wheels? exhaust or pipes? i know you're trying to keep it stock as you can. but with every car/truck owner...first thought when we get the car/truck is "what can i do to it?" what mods are you planing since you got it now?
Geoff,
That's it. I'm gonna trade my Camry for that Tacoma then I'll put on those 26" rims with low profile tires and drop that bad boy to the ground with 6" dual exhaust pipes.

Back on stock height and love it!
I see that you got it at Grappone. Who was your salesman?
Dave Randal, I went to Ira first and got them to give me $18K for my car, and got Grappone to match it, so I went with them instead.

haha, I'd love to see that!
As for mods, I'm not sure about HID's but I really want to get a bull/push bar, mainly for looks but it would be nice to protect the bumper from some light incidents.
