5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I did it (Paul I can't wait to hear your response, lol). I traded in my car for a 2009 Tacoma Double Cab V6 4x4 w/6-speed manual with the offroad and audio package in barcelona red. I wanted something that was more rugged, better in the winter, and was fun/easy to drive offroad. I know people love numbers so i'll tell you what I got for a trade. I was able to get $18,000 for my 2007 Camry LE V6 w/32K miles, KBB puts it at $15,000 for trade in, $16,500 for private party. I also was able to finance it at 4.9% for 60 months.

I'll get some pics when it arrives on Tuesday.
Congrat on your new Tacoma but sad to see you leave our Gen5&6 forum.

Back on stock height and love it!
For my 2007 Camry SE V6, I've only been offered between $10000 and 13000 as trade-in. That's why I can't get rid of it...
It has 50000KMs on it, which is around 31000 miles.
I can certainly understand your argument about the winter. The Camry sucks in the winter. Reminds me of our old BMW 330i. Thank god the Camry is FWD at least - but still bad enough.

Yeah, it just goes to show that when you go to multiple dealers, they are willing to give you a high trade in value and give you quite a discount on the truck! I saved an additional $2,500 going to another dealer and having them match each others prices.
What would you rate the condition of your vehicle before trade in?
I have a few dings on the doors from parking lots, a few spots on the bottom of the bumper from the winter, etc. I'd say it's in pretty good shape, but not excellent.

Geoff, I think you will love your truck. I've got 20,000 miles on mine now and still loving it. Gas mileage sucks in my opinion but that is why I just got my new 2009 Camry SE V-6 to sit beside it in the garage.
