Canada 2007 Rim Offset help

Hello all,

I believe this is my first post, as i just got my camry now. Its a 2007 Camry LE 4cycl. Haven't really done much other than billet grill, foglights, bug deflector, and window visors.

Anyways, i had a question about the rim offset, i did some searching and found this information:

Tire Size - P215/60 R16
Rim Size - 16x6.5
Offset - 5x114.3 bolt +45

I am ok with understanding the tire/rim size, but could someone please shed some light on what all the numbers for the offset mean?

Thanks,
Kaashif

Welcome to TN.
5x114.3 +45
5= 5 lug nuts
114.3 = The distance in mm between one lug nut to the next one. Toyota, Lexus (except the LS460), Honda, Mazda, Mishubishi and Nissan all have 114.3. Volk Wagen has 112 and of course the BMW, Mercedez has their own number.
The lower the number of the offset (of 45 being stock) meant the rims will be push outward more and the higher the number meant the rims will be push inward and tuck in more. So for the rims 18x8.5 +35 will be push outward and sit flush to the wheel edge and for the rim 18x8.5 +45 will be more tucked in.
Hope that help.

Thanks for giving this new guy a civil answer and not screaming at him since off set is discussed often.
