2003 Camry v6 trany fluid and oil change interval?

Am the new owner of a used 2003 Camry with 56,000 miles. Have been going through the maintenance schedule book I received and see several references to inspecting the transmission fluid under the regular schedule. Also one under the special operating conditions schedule to change it at 60000. But I see nothing under the normal maintenance schedule to change it; only references to checking it. Is there a specific mileage to change it?

Also everyone says change the oil every 3000 miles but in my manual it references every 5000, or 7500 miles. What is best?

me personally I do over kill and change at 1500, but recommended is 3k if you are on pure synthetic 5k should be okay, but I'd stick with 3 over all if you're worried about money.

30k interval for the ATF per toyota specs for type ATF T-IV which is what your car uses
for oil, i say 3k-5k depending on how anal retentive you are
i use mobil 1 fully synthetic at 3k intervals myself.

Changing your ATF depends on how you feel about it (and naturally the condition of your fluid) but I changed mine at 25K miles and will change it again at 50K or less if need be. You need Toyota Type T-IV which is available at the parts department of your local Toyota dealer.

As far as oil changes, every 5K/5mo should be fine. It varies from person to person, some prefer to change it more/less often. I do mine every five months (I go by months, because I don't put more than 8K miles per year on my car) with synthetic.
