The Ruler's Back and he has an idle problem

Since everyone is coming back, I'm here. Where's my money....
I bet no one remembers me .... but thats ok.

My 04 4cly has developed a low idle under specific conditions. It starts and runs fine (idles from 660-720rpm when warm), but when I turn on the AC at a stop, the idle drops about 20rpm and thats still fine, it shakes a bit but doesnt stall. I then drive to the next stop light or whatever and it will idle really low (200-580rpm). Sometimes it even stalls. If I try to take off too quickly when its this low, it can also stall. It fine when im moving or bringing up the revs. It will remain like this even after engine cycles. The only way I've found to fix it is letting it sit over night. I havent notice a drop in milage, and have been using good gas.

BTW, this is the first problem in 170K miles...

Possibly the IAC or throttle body?

I'm thinking about cleaning my TB one of these weekends. With the A/C on, when I'm coming to a stop I can feel my car shudder a little. It's slight but annoying *especially* after driving stick! With the A/C off my car is completely fine.

I was thinking that, will seafoam clean the IAC? I haven't looked yet, but what would a good hose be to seafoam. I know on the Gen3 I used the brake booster, but I think on the Gen5 it is more inaccessible.

more than likely your IAC, I just cleaned mine on my Tacoma after 140k, and the carbon buildup bridged the gap between the IAC and the throttle body. After a good cleaning with a toothbrush and q'tips the truck runs and idles so smooth you can't tell its running. Just make sure you swing by the dealer and get a new throttle body gasket and an IAC gasket.
