Gen6 2007 Camry SE w/ JBL AUDIO HELP - rear speakers possessed!

Hello all,

I have a 2007 Camry SE w/ JBL audio (seperate amp) and Gen5 Nav. The problem I'm having is the rear deck speakers seem to fluctuate in sound (up and down) sporadically and intermittently only while the engine is running.

I have tried to troubleshoot with the audio settings, fading to the F, R, L, R and have determined it is only coming from both rear speakers (and no they are not blown).

It comes and goes while driving and is driving me nuts, especially while listening at higher levels the rear audio fades then increases then stabilizes and repeats when it feels like it...the dealership replaced the nav unit and the amp but no dice. I think there may be some kind of intereference or trouble with the factory wiring, but the dealer is stumped

Any advice or audio experts out there that can chime in

It sounds like interference to me. Is something touching the wires leading to those speakers?

Canada Problem solved

Thanks for the suggestion,

After some digging, and my previous experience with GM adaptive volume control, I found that the Nav audio settings on the Gen5 with JBL include ASL (automatic sound levelizer) which increase the sound to compensate for wind, road and ambient noise.

I turned it off and "poof" problem solved

I think it is happening because you have ASL set to high. ASL will automatically adjust the sound in side your side depend upon the enviroment inside the car. It is happen to my car when I put ASL to high. Turning it lower will stop the sound from fluctuating.

NOT SOLVED It's back and ASL is off!

Well the problem was not the ASL, because now ASL is turned off and the fading in/out is still present.

Any ideas??
