5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
This sort of nonsense is why I read the car mags for the facts only. I peruse the opinions, but realize that most of them just reflect what the writer feels, likes, or dislikes. It's like some author telling you not to order this flavor or that at Baskin-Robbins. If the author wants strawberry, that's fine with me, but don't tell me what flavor to order...

Well if you want a sports sedan, then why are you even looking at Camrys....? Go buy an Acura or IS350 or something. But if you want a Camry, then the SE is the way to go. Their conclusion doesn't make sense, it's comparing two different markets.

Agree. They didn't even give it a chance. Just simply stating that they THINK it is going to be _____ (fill in the bullshit comments here). If they say they test drove it and don't like it, than it's OK. But trash base simply on what they think it's GOING to be is just simply idiot talks.

Isn't Toyota classify Camry SE as sport sedan? But I think it's more of a sport look with family in mind. Camry has always been a middle class, daily family driving car. It's a beast that keep on going.
The conclusion is base on their opinion and what they think.

car and driver isnt a reliable source...we all know they are on hondas nuts anyway
the SE looks 1000x better than the LE, base and XLE, and it also has a much better ride and handling characteristics....sure it isnt on par with a G35 or BMW 335i, but for its class id say its damn sporty considering the accord looks like a hyundai from 2000.
well i love my Se and its night and day between and other model of the camry.
+1! When I drove the LE and SE, I was initially not very impressed with the differences between the two regarding handling. But after a second drive in the LE after the SE, it was much more obvious. The SE is the only way to get these cars...
Car and Driver is also the same mag the chooses the Honda Accord Over the Camry. Car and Driver are Honda Lovers. I'm sorry isnt there also an article lurkin somewhere on the internet saying that Camry SE V6 kills the Subaru WRX?
