Is this possible? I guess anything is posssible, but is the wiring harness in the doors and how difficult would this be? Would need the mirrors, wiring, and switch. Anyone have any experience with this and could provide a complete list of parts and how difficult it really is
let me make this clear only once. I DO NOT WANT TURN SIGNAL MIRRORS
dcemureviews:
to ge the heated mirrors, i had to get the leather package, and i didnt want leather. but now that it is getting colder i want heated mirrors
As mentioned before, since you dont have heated mirrors to begin with, you might not have the wiring to do so. Our heated mirrors are connected to our heated seats. So when we press that button, it turns on the heat for the seat and mirrors.
Thank you for the HELPFUL information, i didnt know that the mirrors were connected to the seats, that makes things a lot more challanging. I was hoping that they were independant and one could just buy the heated glass and switch, and possible wiring harness.
I wonder if the wiring harness under the seat contains the one for the heated mirrors??

I dont know how its wired but it could be possible. Or it could be that the harness could be wired to the button itself.
I dont know all this technical talk when it comes to the wiring of the car but if you were able to find the harness and mirror, maybe you can connect it to a switch and mount it to the car. Kind of like a fog light switch.

i think its connected to the rear window defroster. because when i turn on the defroster and touch my side mirror...its warm.
See now were getting somewhere. Thanks. So now we have two conflicting answers, one says connected to seat and one says connected to defroster. can anyone verify which is correct. or is the wiring harness from the mirror to the seat and the realy for the switch connected to the defroster switch.
the mirrors and harness can be bought from the dealership, its just needing to know what parts to buy
For all I know, I could be wrong..HAHAHA. I got my car end of July so I havent used the seats yet. I have used the rear defogger but never touched the mirror cuz it wasnt fogged. Since its been getting a little cold at night, I'll give it a touch.
If I remember correctly (could be wrong), njerald said it was connected to the seat. I think this was mentioned in one of the turn signal mirrors as he wanted one that supported heated mirrors.
