Maint Req'd light gen 5.5

Before you guys send me to search; I used the search and the procedure to turn it off on this forum says to put the ODO on trip A and then go to the process of turning this light off. Now my new to me 2005 had the light blinking and the manual calls to put the ODO in ODO mode and then the rest is the same. I tried both out of curiosity and I guess also respect for this forum and sure enough the owner's manual method was the correct one. I guess just an FYI for a commonly asked question.

On the side it has been a while I did not have a Toyota car and finally bought an off lease Toyota certified LE 2005 with 35KM. I like it so far, will see how things work out.

Also any regular stores that have floor mats that fit the Camry? I want carpet and every model I try is narrow and short. I am a bit afraid of ordering online.

TIA

1. can you reference the thread where it said put it on trip A?
2. always consult your owners manual first, that should be your go-to item for all normal maintenance questions
3. All the general auto parts stores will only carry generic floor mats that you cut to size. There are mats online as you said and if you link us to the ones you have found, we can generally say if they are legit or not.

reset maintenence light

Maintenance Required (LIGHT)

I have not seen generic carpet type mats that could be cut to size. What do you do with the sides?

Has anybody tried this site:

http://www.floormatexpress.com/produ...cts&subcatid=3

Any other good experiences. Again, I want floor mats that cover the area corner to corner. The ones I bought from Pepboys are 2 inches short in width and probably 4" short in length.

As for the provided links, i dont know why they werent caught for wrong info.. surprising too because its from a reputable member... but like i said, owners manual should always be the first item referenced..

as for the mats, it thought you meant an extra mat, possibly all-weather, to replace/go over the OEM mats.. thats what i would recommend, getting all-weather mats and removing the carpet mats.

Thanks for the response. This is my first car with owner' manual anyways! But I am using it.

We are in Southern CA (moved here from the Northeast), you really don't need all weather mats-the climate is kind of boring. When they say it is going to rain you have an hour of drizzle, not enough to take the dirt and dust off your car. The dealer threw the mats away I guess because they were dirty or maybe did not have original ones anyways. So I want something to protect the whole carpet underneath. I might end up buying rubber mats and use the carpet mats on top!
