Hey guys, i have a a 02 Camry and yesterday my parents took the car out for a while (like 5 hours) and drove around in the rain (really heavy t-storms from Hurricane Ike). They said the check engine light came on while driving and when they pulled over the car went dead. So i came and tried to boost it and it wouldnt start so we towed it to a local mechanic shop. I went , the next day, back to the shop and it was pretty hot outside and gave another shot at boosting it and it started up. Now the car is perfectly starting and driving but the only problem now is that the check engine light is still on. Is the alternator bad? What may have caused this??
