Retrofit cutoff pics.

Hi guys. I though we could have a thread where all of us who had retros could post their pics and setups. Later, when someone searches for retrofit pics, they can come across this thread.

I have been meaning to snag some pics of my cutoff for a WHILE now, so here they are.

NOTE: The cutoff references on the wall were already on the wall when I got there... "WTF!?" I thought, but then realized it was really cool that someone in my area took the time to aim their beams.






BTW, Phillips LVQ-212 ballasts, Phillips 85122+ bulbs, washer modded TSX clear lenses and a relay harness.

I don't know. I think it just the way the digital camera capture the light as I might have the setup as daytime setting.

These pictures are off a P&S, taken when I first finished the retro, a bit old, but by now, about a year later, they have color shifted more, so there's a bit more blue at the cutoff line now.









This last one is in comparison to those who likes using HID kits, it's a GS300 with a 5000K HID Kit in a reflector housing.

When you just bend down the tab in the stock projector in hopes of reducing glare = more glare! (halogen bulb in picture):

is it me or are these headlights aim pretty low? i aimed my higher than yalls.....= /
did u guys jux installed the projectors and that was it? no adjustments?

You did research the appropriate level right? I think half of my retro time went to adjustments alone. FYI, the drop should be 2.1" - 2.5" drop @ 25'. Mine is 2.5" on the nose.

BTW, LNG, the cutoff pics look great! Did you buy the 85122 used (shifted) or are they new? They should be a tad more yellow than shifted bulbs or the 85122+s. Still better than the OSRAMS though. I had the OSRAM XENARCS on first, but am glad I switched to the + bulbs.
