Gen6 DIY-Fog Light on SE Install

So I changed the bulbs on my 2007 Camry SE. Thanks to alot of people who have written the DIY, but I thought I should do it with some pictures involved, just cuz pictures are always more fun...

So tools needed: 10 mm bit on monkey wrench, flat head screw driver. You could raise the car, but I changed mine by just lying down and poking my head under the car when needed. Note: if you're going to raise the car, please consult your car manual for proper placement of the jack.

there are about 5 of these screws.

these little things had me frustrated cuz i couldnt figure out how to pull it out. but what you need to do is take your flathead screw driver and wedge it into the inner part of the cap and just pry out. what happens is that the inner part of the cap is a little bolt that goes in and secures the bolt into the body.

driver side

passenger side

there are three screws in those as well that have to be removed before you can take the underbody shield off.

remember: the underbody shield is is two pieces and drive side on goes into the passenger side one.

once the shield is removed. you can just reach in and twist and remove the fog light bulb and replace with your new ones.

here are some daylight pics of my install

w/ flash

w/o flash

i bought my bulbs from autolumination.com. the fog lights were H11, Yellow. for $11.99 plus s+h.

I hope that this DIY proves to be useful for all you DIYers out there.

Any questions, please don't hesitate to PM me.

But, now I have a question regarding how I can keep my fog lights turned on w/o my headlights? If anyone can help, please let me know.

i got the LE camry 2007

i've been meaning to finally installing fogs, my mods are always delayed a good bit before i actually install them. i don't have a problem with the installation except the wiring to the dash. I have no idea how or where to open to get that cable up to the front dash. I want to use the included switch and not by replacing the stalk like some people. any photo DIY?

do you have a diy for the wiring? i've never touched the electrical part or the fuse area....

Those instructions seem way too much work.

1. Take out the three screws that hold the little flaps with a Phillips head screwdriver.
2. Open up the now loosened under body shield
3. Stick hand inside and find the fog light
4. Take out connector and replace bulb.
5. Push back in the underbody shield, screw the flaps back on and enjoy your brighter fogs.

You don't need a monkey wrench, just a Phillips head screwdriver. It's a 5 minute job tops.

Hell you don't even need to take all 3 bolts out of the little flaps (or whatever they're known as).

yea, both the phillips and the monky wrench will work. i just prefer the monkey wrench cuz sometimes those screw heads have dirt in them so it makes it easier to remove with the monkey wrench instead of having to try and grip the dirty screw heads with a phillips.
